Art project to brighten hospital

We’re honoured to receive an incredible donation of $50,000 towards art for Auckland City Hospital – and it’s no ordinary donation.

The donation follows an auction at Webb’s of ‘Project Fear’ – a creative partnership between renowned artist John Reynolds and 14-year-old Felicia Qin.

Felicia is a St Cuthbert’s College student who, on top of her lockdown studies, played a key role in conceptualising and executing this exceptional COVID-19 inspired art project.

The project was Felicia’s idea, and it was also her idea to auction the art works and donate all the proceeds.

Felicia wanted the project to benefit our broader community facing the unprecedented challenges of COVID-19. With all auction proceeds being donated to Auckland City Hospital (via the Auckland Hospital Foundation), we know staff, patients and visitors will be grateful for new artwork to brighten our hospital spaces.

We are so grateful to John, Felicia, Webb’s and everyone who contributed to this extraordinary project.
