As winter looms, we are reflecting on a summer full of warmth, thanks to supporters like you.
This year is already tracking to be one of our best yet, with progress being made across each of our fundraising priorities: 1) accelerating world-class facilities and technology, 2) increasing world-class research opportunities, 3) enhancing the patient and wh?nau experience, and 4) advancing the healthcare workforce at Auckland City Hospital.
As New Zealand’s largest hospital and clinical research facility, with specialities that serve the nation, we must strive to help teams deliver the best possible treatments that enhance the health and extend the lives of our families.
Our cover story is a prime example of how collective donations can empower a team to save lives for generations to come, with a generous lead gift from The Lion Foundation making it possible to bring the world’s most lifelike critical care simulation training manikin to New Zealand for the first time. The newsletter includes several other stories that highlight the difference our supporters are making across the hospital; from helping to foster a thriving nursing workforce and giving our most vulnerable patients access to advanced technology, to improving comfort for cancer patients and enhancing the hospital environment through art.
